TG2208 : St Benedict's Tower, Norwich

taken 4 years ago, near to Norwich, Norfolk, England

St Benedict's Tower, Norwich
St Benedict's Tower, Norwich
Not many of Norwich’s churches are round-towered. One that was was the former C11th St Benedict’s church off St Benedict's Street. However, it was bombed in the Baedecker raids of 1942 and only the tower, which is made of unknapped flint, survives. See also: LinkExternal link
