NJ0464 : Eroding Tank Traps

taken 4 years ago, near to Findhorn, Moray, Scotland

Eroding Tank Traps
Eroding Tank Traps
These rocks are in fact the remains of tank traps placed all along the coast during the Second World War. In just seven decades, the sea has encroached so far into the dunes that the line that was formerly on land parallel to the shore now stretches out on to the beach, and is mostly submerged at high tide.
