St Chad and All Saints' Church, Sedgley
This Roman Catholic church was built as a chapel in 1823 by the parish priest, Father Thomas Tysan, to replace a smaller chapel at Sandyfields. It was dedicated to All Saints and was extended in 1837 at the rear so as to incorporate a school for Catholic children. The building was consecrated as a church in 1891 and there was apparently a requirement to add a saint's name - for which purpose St Chad was chosen.
