Cuckmere Haven railway bridge infrastructure
Cuckmere Haven railway bridge infrastructure
Looking slightly west of the tree, this photo shows a small bridge over which the Cuckmere Haven Railway once ran. The track was lifted and what remains is the bridge itself. The two metal bars are concreted into the bridge structure as underpinning and to give the bridge added support.
An old photo in the Sussex Express of 01/05/2015 shows the rail track passing over the bridge, in a southward direction, to the beach at Cuckmere Haven.
