Bridge over the old A5 - Wall, Staffordshire
Bridge over the old A5 - Wall, Staffordshire
This stretch of the former A5 road and prior to that Watling Street runs from the A5127 Birmingham Road. Westwards it leads to the village of Wall SK 0906 and the site of the Roman town of Letocetum, remains to be seen. The bridge in this photo carries the railway line from Bromsgrove and Redditch to Lichfield City and Trent Valley Stations. The triangular sign on the bridge shows a 14 feet height limit for vehicles. Time photo taken 10.46 am GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
