TQ2682 : Stucco grandeur

taken 4 years ago, near to Paddington, Westminster, England

Stucco grandeur
Stucco grandeur
One of the mansions on Randolph Road, Maida Vale.

In Victorian times, this and nearby residential streets were favoured areas for the aristocratic and wealthy of London to set up their mistresses. (For obvious reasons, at that time, it became known as 'Randy Road'.)

Present day owners of such properties are bound by covenants requiring them to maintain or replace the vulnerable white rendering every five years.
