THE LAKE AND ITS WILDLIFE

Left column
Barclay Park has a diverse range of wildlife including over 30 species of
birds, 15 species of freshwater creatures, roach, rudd, carp in the lake,
muntjac deer, mole, fox, squirrel and a vast assortment of invertebrates. With
the creation of the new wetland area, lake banks and reed beds it is hoped that
biodiversity will increase even further.

This image shows lesserpond sedge, yellow flag iris, common darter, pond
skater, great pond snail and smooth newt.
