The River Fergus (Irish: An Forghas) is a 61Km long river within the Shannon River Basin which flows in County Clare. It rises in Loughnagowan which lies west of Corofin and flows into the Shannon Estuary. It is noted for its trout and salmon fishing.

Ennis

Ennis is the county town and largest settlement in County Clare. It is located on the River Fergus, 20km north of Shannon Airport.
