Kirby-le-Soken: Arthur Ransome's 'Witch's Cottage'
This thatched building was used as the prototype for Arthur Ransome's 'Witch's Cottage' in his book 'Secret Water'. It is presently known as 'Thatched Cottage', and is a Grade II Listed Building, dating from the 18th Century.
