SH8659 : Minor quarry

taken 4 years ago, near to Pennant, Conwy, Wales

Minor quarry
Minor quarry
A small quarry for hardcore has been opened in the flank of the hill. The rock exposed is a slaty member of the Nantglyn Flags Formation (Silurian, Wenlock). It is good to see that even this minimal depression is a suitable place for a rubbish dump.
