This weir is placed at the end of Lower Mill Street, and runs up to the Bread Walk footpath below Whitcliffe Common. Recently in 2018, the left edge of the weir was given a fish pass.

The bridge by the castle is Dinham Bridge. This is one of the two bridges over the Teme at Ludlow, the other , far busier, is Ludford Bridge.
The cannon was captured at Sebastopol and has since seen service as a climbing frame.
