Crook Castle
Crook Castle
Crook (also known as Crooke) Castle is situated about 1km south of Passage East, just outside Waterford City. The castle was built in the late 12th century after the Norman invasion of Ireland. A significant portion of the castle remained until the 18th century, but only a small corner of the castle now remains.

The earthworks of the original castle walls are still visible from the air with a drone and are quite prominent.

The castle is situated on private land and is visible from a public road, via a gate. Next to the castle is the old church of Crooke, which dates back to the Knights Templar and Knights Hospitaller.
