Church of St Augustine, Hedon
Church of St Augustine, Hedon
The eastern aspect of the church, seen from Distaff Lane. The building is described by Historic England as "13th Century parish church of national importance". The 15th century Perpendicular central tower earned it the title 'King of Holderness'. The chancel and transepts are Early English and the nave is Early Decorated, as is the octagonal font. The church was restored in 1866-77 by GE Street.
