Prescot School
Prescot School was previously called Prescot Grammar School, founded in 1544 by Gilbert Lathum, a local clergyman who left £140 in his will to fund a schoolmaster to run a free grammar school. From 1760-1924 it was sited in Fazakerley Street (now High Street where the car park is today) before moving to larger premises at St Helens Road and eventual merger with Prescot Girls Grammar and relocation to the present site.
