The United Church
A Congregational church was established on Union Street in 1824 and rebuilt in 1843. Since then it has amalgamated with Chapel Street Baptist church and become "The United Church".

During the week it lets out its carpark to commuters but the present lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic means it is almost empty. The church itself is closed but the windows inside have been decorated with rainbows, a symbol of support for the NHS during the crisis SJ9494 : Rainbow at The United Church .
