The top of Carnedd y Filiast's Atlantic Cliff
The top of Carnedd y Filiast's Atlantic Cliff
This is the dramatic eastern face of Carnedd y Filiast. The deposition of sediments in shallow sea conditions has given the strata a rippling effect. The summit tor of Carnedd y Filiast (821m) is seen on the left. Carnedd y Filiast means the cairn of the greyhound bitch. The greyhound bitch is an important symbol in Celtic mythology.
