Deganwy Quay level crossing
Deganwy Quay level crossing
A view of the railway level crossing at Deganwy Quay as Sprinter unit number 153325 crosses while forming the 1735h train from Llandudno Junction to Crewe via Llandudno on working 1K13 from Holyhead. As the class 153 Sprinters are single units, this working comprises two units in multiple; unit number 153323 is just visible at the rear. The new crossing here enabled continuous road access to the new marina, housing and hotel development. Previously, the crossing was manually operated on request during working hours Monday-Saturday with a keeper on duty in a small cabin just at the left of the image. The gates were interlocked with Deganwy signal box.
