NY9920 : Viaduct over the Balder

taken 4 years ago, near to Hunderthwaite, County Durham, England

Viaduct over the Balder
Viaduct over the Balder
Now part of a footpath and cycleway along a section of Teesdale, the viaduct once carried the railway line from Barnard Castle to Middleton. Such was the luxuriant tree growth down below that the River Balder was almost invisible on this occasion.
