SE0271 : Linear drainage channels

taken 16 years ago, near to Sandy Gate [other Features], North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Linear drainage channels
Linear drainage channels
The moor hereabouts has been heavily gripped - i.e. drained with many straight drainage channels, as the two examples running from left to right. The regular drainage pattern can be seen on the fell in the distance, lit by the low-angled sunlight.
