Castles of Leinster: Edenderry, Offaly
Aka Blundell Castle, named after the family of that name who owned it from the 1650s to the C18. In 1556 it was at that time known as the castle of Edenderry when it was held by Sir Nicholas Herbert. The now fragmentary main structure rises three storeys high, whilst on the west side are C17 additions and alterations.
