Horizontal columnar jointing at Lower Fishguard
I have not found this mentioned anywhere but if you go to the end of the quay when the tide is low, down the ramp and turn right along the foot of the cliffs to the first shallow inlet you come to, there is a distinct area of well-defined columnar jointing in the cliff face. Unusually it is at a horizontal rather than the more common vertical angle.
