Downstream view from the Teifi bridge, Cors Caron
The view downstream from the bridge across the Afon Teifi in the middle of Cors Caron shows a straight section of the river within the raised bog. A cut has been dug to dry up the old meandering river bed and the left bank has been dyked in the past in order to protect the peat digs to the east. The old river bed can be seen in the bog on the left and is very evident in the satellite image.

The bridge gives access to the nature reserve on the right (western) bank of the river and isn't part of the footpath network of the area. We used it as a welcome observation point in the flat bog landscape and then retreated back onto the Riverside Walk on the left bank.
