Opened in 1834 as "Milford" by the Leeds and Selby Railway, later part of the North Eastern Railway, the station became "South Milford" in 1867.
View west towards Micklefield and Leeds. New platform shelters have been erected since SE4932 : South Milford railway station, Yorkshire, 2008 was taken some 12 years earlier.
