The Ffestiniog Railway has commenced a few special trains taking account of social distancing.
The old Victorian carriages with separate compartments have come into their own. You pay for a compartment which takes six and must comprise 'a social bubble'
There are no corridors and passengers must use the same one on their return journey when each is thoroughly cleaned. Passengers cannot join the train at Tan-y-Bwlch other than to return to Porthmadog.
Sanitisers are everywhere.
The train had been hauled by Number 5 soon to be renamed Welsh Pony after its restoration. Until 27 June it had not run on the rails for 80 years.
