Farm ruin in Macclesfield Forest
This is I believe Dimples Farm. It was the childhood home of Walter Whiston Bullock, who emigrated to New Zealand, but then fought in the First World War at Gallipoli and the Somme before being killed, aged 34, in 1917 at Passchendaele. He received the Distinguished Conduct Medal. A small shrine in his memory has been established by the south facing gable end wall.
