Tralee Park Grotto, former Denny Estate (1)
In the SW corner of Tralee Park are the remains of an 18th or 19th century grotto that at one time would have been a feature in the grounds of Tralee Castle, the main seat of the Denny family. Tralee Castle was demolished in 1826 by Sir Edward Denny, 3rd Baronet, and the grounds subsequently became Tralee town's municipal park.
