Jersey Tiger Moth (Euplagia quadripunctaria)
Jersey Tiger Moth (Euplagia quadripunctaria)
This moth is not very common since it is mainly found in the coastal counties of Devon, Dorset and Hampshire where the main colonies have settled. Isolated moths may have flown over from the Continent. They feed off flowers especially Buddleias. The underwings are yellow, red or orange with black spots.
