Blackwell, Camrose
A hummock of furze is now all that can be seen of this old cottage. It is shown on the 1819 OS map, and eight people lived there at the 1841 census, but it was uninhabited from 1891 onwards, and its fields have reverted to the bare moor. The name presumably refers to the water supply that seeps out of the peat in this otherwise-parched place.
