Rose Hill Station

The station opened in 1869 on what was originally the Macclesfield, Bollington and Marple Railway. The line to Macclesfield was closed in 1970 and most of its route was converted into the Middlewood Way, a "linear park" and trail for walkers, cyclists and horse-riders,

During the coronavirus pandemic the service by Northern was reduced from half-hourly to hourly and now local residents have been informed that services between Manchester and Rose Hill will not operate between early September and mid December 2020. This will leave Rose Hill, Woodley, Hyde North and Hyde Central without service for around four months.
