Ripley Castle Temple
Ripley Castle Temple
Grade II Listed Garden folly possibly about 1785 by William Belwood for Sir John Ingilby. Sir John undertook a major rebuild of the castle in 1783–86 but Fabulous Follies claims the temple to be built in 1818 for Sir William Amcotts Ingilby (1783–1854). Sir William had built the palm house and hothouses in 1817. See SE2861 : Ripley Castle Temple for external view.
