A pair of lakes, high on the slope of Yr Arddu. They are rather curious, as they are surrounded by rock outcrop and are not a consequence of a classic cwm glacier. The fabulous, gnarly outcrop of the rhyolitic rocks is accentuated by some shadows. In the far distance are Mynydd Mawr and Yr Aran. I have always loved the airy isolation of this place.
