NR7220 : Campbeltown Loch New Quay

taken 16 years ago, near to Campbeltown, Argyll And Bute, Scotland

Campbeltown Loch New Quay
Campbeltown Loch New Quay
Looking inland from near the end of the Quay. A lack of a ferry service to Northern Ireland (fingers still crossed) means the quay is used mainly for timber shipping operations. The strewn debris is tree bark and twiglets, the concrete pillars are used to support stacks of timber, while the machine used to move and load the timber can be seen parked to the left. Shipments of wind turbines are also made from here.
