The controversial Piccadilly Wall by Piccadilly Gardens is being demolished. Part of the wall has already gone but one section remains for now. In front the remaining section is the Tree of Remembrance SJ8498 : The Tree of Remembrance which was commissioned by Manchester City Council and created by "Wolfgang & Heron", in May 2005 in memory of the City's Civilian War Dead 1940-1945.
