NZ6603 : Bield and bomb crater

taken 3 years ago, 3 km from Westerdale, North Yorkshire, England

Bield and bomb crater
Bield and bomb crater
Although the map the bield as a 'sheepwash' and the crater as 'workings'.

A bomb crater is a local suggestion, thought to have been jettisoned after a bombing raid over Teesside in 1942. It is not marked on pre-WW2 maps.
