Wood mouse in our garden
Wood mouse in our garden
This little wood mouse (Apodemus sylvaticus, also known as the field mouse) is now a regular visitor to the bird feeder. It lowers itself hand-over-hand down the string, then feeds on the peanuts, clambers to the bottom perch for a short pause (pose), then drops off to the ground.
