Walking to Great Langdale
Walking to Great Langdale
On a week long trip (after second year university exams) spent mostly rock climbing, we are just moving camp from Dow Crag (near Coniston) to Great Langdale. This footpath is from the eastern bottom of Wrynose Pass towards Blea Tarn and the descent to Dungeon Ghyll. Harrison Stickle dominates the horizon with Gimmer Crag (our target for tomorrow) on the left.

As the exif data will give no clues, I should say that this was a home-processed film using Agfacolour CU-COP (a film designed for slide duplicating) which can be rated anywhere between 20 and 50 ASA, though I generally got the better results processing to 32 ASA, which I believe is the likely treatment for this shot. It was exposed in an Agfa Silette camera, and, 43 years on, scanned at 5400 dpi.
