Donaghadee Lifeboat off Bangor
Donaghadee Lifeboat off Bangor
Current Donaghadee Lifeboat ( Link and LinkExternal link ) 'Saxon' in Bangor Bay, heading back to Donaghadee. The lifeboat had been called out to remove an ill crew member from the cargo ship 'Horizon' which was anchored at the mouth of Belfast Lough (the ship can be glimpsed in the distance but is better seen in Belfast at J3576 : The 'Horizon' at Belfast). The individual was successfully transferred to Bangor harbour and into the care of the NI Ambulance Service with the assistance of the local Coastguard Rescue Team.
