Kentwell Hall near Long Melford in Suffolk is a moated mansion with over 30 acres of gardens. Building started on the hall in the 1490s and was completed circa 1540. The top floor of the centre block was added in 1578. The gardens include elements from every century from the 16th. The estate of 130 acres includes a rare breeds farm. The hall is listed, grade I. The listing includes a detached building, the brick revetment of the moat and two bridges over the moat. Details are at:
