Very Inquisitive Sheep at Balgreen Trig Point
Very Inquisitive Sheep at Balgreen Trig Point
I approached the trig pillar by walking alongside a fence between two fields of sheep. Usually sheep scamper away but not on this farm. The sheep in both fields flocked towards me and, slightly alarmingly, followed me all the way to the end of the field. The closest few were about two feet away - was beginning to wonder if farmer had given the something in their feed by mistake to bring about this unexpected confidence!
Official measurements from the trig point were first taken in 1947.
