Metrolink tram number 3097 crosses the Irwell at Warth Fold. This bridge, originally built for the East Lancashire Railway, also provided a footbridge crossing over the River Irwell at the old Bury and Radcliffe boundary before nearby SD7909 : Warth Bridge, River Irwell was built downstream in the 1930s.
