Waterfall on Helliwell Sike, Hipperholme
The large vertical slab of stone in the centre of the waterfall is a puzzling feature. Downstream of here the stream descends rapidly into a deep ravine. The spelling 'Sike' is as shown on the 1850 six-inch map.
