Actor Liz Smith MBE, born in Scunthorpe in 1921, best known for screen roles as Nana in the Royle Family and Letitia Cropley in The Vicar of Dibley.
Albert 'Lal' White (with trophy), Silver Olympic medal winner at the 1920 Antwerp Olympics and many times English grass track cycle racing champion.
