Quite a few of us put a lot of effort into restoring this building after an earlier generation of vandals all but destroyed it. Anyone fancy a bonfire in the middle of a downstairs room?
The restoration was a disaster as the next generation of idiots carried on their mayhem, including damage to neighbouring properties and to Forestry Commission machinery. The landowner (Forestry Commission) closed the building down for a while, but the trouble continued on reopening. In the end all had had enough.

While this place was a well kent legend in hard drinking, bothy wrecking, antisocial circles it remains a lesson to those misguided folk who think that by advertising bothies they are performing a public service and fighting a secretive clique.
