Angular boulders on slope of Cross Fell
The extensive summit plateau of Cross Fell is ringed by a discontinuous band of boulders. Those here lie directly to the south of the mountain's summit.
Great Dun Fell lies cloud-shadowed in the distance; it's distinguished by the geodesic dome on top which houses radar equipment used in air traffic control.
