Arnside Railway Station
Arnside Railway Station
Opened in 1858 by the Ulverston and Lancaster Railway, the station still serves the village of Arnside. West of the station is the viaduct over the Kent estuary, controlled by a signal box which is listed grade 2 (list entry 1412051). The station building, like many in rural areas, has been sold off and the halt is unstaffed.
