Edward Jenner memorial in Gloucester Cathedral
A statue of Edward Jenner in Gloucester Cathedral. He was a doctor in nearby Berkeley and through his observations of milkmaids appearing to be immune to smallpox he developed the first vaccination. Subsequently saving the lives of many people. He is buried in the family vault in St Mary's church, Berkeley.
