Shelter Cairn, Cushat Law
Shelter Cairn, Cushat Law
When the first edition of the Ordnance Survey Six-Inch map of the area was published in 1866, this cairn was described as, "Shepherds Cairn (remains of)". Since that time it has been refashioned into a shelter cairn, useful to walkers in bad weather. It is the same cairn as I photographed in June 2005, which can be seen at Link although this time taken from the opposite side.
