SK1615 : Church of All Saints, Alrewas

taken 3 years ago, near to Alrewas, Staffordshire, England

Church of All Saints, Alrewas
Church of All Saints, Alrewas
West door, detail. The timber is thought to be 14th century, as also the upper hinges. The carved inscription relates to a restoration of the door in 1623 or 1625 under the vicarship of Richard Martin. The other initials doubtless refer to the churchwardens at the time.
