The Manger
The Manger
The area below the scarp slope of Whitehorse Hill is called the Manger. Legend has it that the White Horse goes down to the Manger to graze at night once a year. By daybreak he is always back in his place on the hillside. Beyond the Manger the Vale of White Horse stretches away.
