Detail of Iron Tree & Chapel, Yorkshire Sculpture Park
The Iron Tree is the work of the Chinese artist Ai Weiwei, an exhibition of whose work was held at the Sculpture Park in 2014. It is inspired by wood sold in the streets of Jingdezhen, a Chinese city famous for its porcelain production. It is made of iron elements interlocked using a traditional Chinese method, exaggerated for effect by the artist. LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link )

The church building behind it is the redundant St. Bartholomew's Chapel, designed in 1744 by Thomas Wentworth, and now used as a gallery space. LinkExternal link
